St Catherine’s Infant School
Winners of Children’s Books Ireland Bookbag Competition!
St Catherine’s Infant School were the winners of Bookbag 2020, an initiative funded by Brown Bag Films and delivered in partnership with Children’s Books Ireland.
We had a fantastic Bookbag day recently where the children had a fantastic time reading, creating amazing monsters and meeting famous artists and illustrators online!
Here’s a video of our day:

Our prizes included
-new books for our library,
-an online visit from authors and illustrators to our classes
-a whole school doodle event for the children and their families with animators from Brown Bag Films (who have produced Wild Kratts, Bing, Peter Rabbit, Doc Mc Stuffins to name a few)
-a book for every single pupil.
We were chosen because the judges could tell what a special school we are and how much we love reading!
